Moot on fitness & sports nutrition for athletes concludes

A two-day conference on ‘Fitness and Sports Nutrition of Athletes’ concluded on Monday with an aim to linking good health with good nutrition as nutrition plays an essential role and enhances sporting performance.

The conference was organized by GetPro Fitness Academy, a local entrepreneur in sports and was attended by more than 40 trainers from across the country.

It was a comprehensive conference on sports and exercise nutrition for fitness enthusiasts, fitness trainers, personal trainers, sports coaches and athletes.The key speakers IFPA master trainer and sports nutrition specialist Syed Muhammad, PhD scholars on Human Nutrition and Sports Sciences Syeda Sana Shah, Muhammad Imran Khan, Consultant Dietitian Shaista Khan and other experts give presentations about how to develop an understanding of the appropriate nutrition practices in relation to exercise or sport training to promote health, energy and adaptations.

During the conference the speakers stressed on obtaining optimal knowledge for coaches, trainers, and other sports and fitness enthusiasts. They were of the opinion that when healthy eating habits become a lifestyle healthier and happier.

“Eating right can help us reduce body fat, feel more confident, and reduce our risk of illness”, they said, adding that frequent studies are indicating healthy food intake as the most important part of our fitness programs.
