AS people of Pakistan were engaged in Independence Day celebrations on Saturday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again showed his true face through shameful tweets, in which he stated that August 14 would be observed as ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ in India.
The very tweets once again proved that Indian leadership has never accepted Pakistan and willingly adopted different tactics to hurt the country.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudri timely responded to Indian PM’s tweets saying distorting history and stoking communalism is the forte of RSS-BJP regime.
He said no modern state is so much in contradiction with itself as the Indian state — the so-called largest democracy.
It is really shameful that practitioners of Hindutva ideology and purveyors of hate and violence hypocritically invoked the tragic events and mass migration that occurred in the wake of independence in 1947.
Before showing his pain over the partition’s events, Modi should have done some soul searching as to how he managed to massacre thousands of Muslims when he was CM Gujarat in 2002 and most recently in Delhi riots.
The contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) widely interpreted by more than 200 million Indian Muslims as anti-Muslim proves beyond a doubt that the RSS ideal of Hindutva is becoming a reality in India, with the objective of suppressing and evicting Muslims from India.
It clearly depicts the foresight of Mohammad Ali Jinnah when he stated: “When you [the Congress] talk of democracy, you are thoroughly dishonest.
When you talk of democracy you mean Hindu Raj, to dominate over the Muslims, a totally different nation, different in culture, different in everything. You yourself are working for Hindu nationalism and Hindu Raj.”
The prevailing situation in India rightly proved that steps taken by Jinnah that were born out of the two-nation theory were essentially accurate.
Given the history of his evil acts especially the campaign of terror he has unleashed in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the words of social harmony and human empowerment does not suit Modi’s tongue.
While Prime Minister Imran Khan has already exposed Modi’s real face to whole world, we must accelerate our efforts to get liberated Kashmiri people from cruel Indian clutches.
