The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has expressed deep grief over the demise of Muhammad Yousuf Khan, a long-time member of the organisation, in Srinagar.

The Mirwaiz in a statement termed the services and sacrifices of the late Muhammad Yousuf Khan towards the organization as unforgettable.

He said, the deceased had dedicated his services and abilities to the AAC for more than fifty years and during this long period played a key role in making it an active and prominent organisation alongside his martyred leader Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq.

The Mirwaiz said that the void created in the ranks of the organisation by the demise of Muhammad Yousuf Khan can hardly be filled. His valuable services and sacrifices towards the organisation will always be remembered, he added.

The Mirwaiz expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased on this tragedy and prayed for the patience of the bereaved family members.

Meanwhile, scores of members of the Awami Action Committee and a large number of people participated in the funeral prayer of the deceased. Later, the delegation of the organisation visited the late Muhammad Yousuf Khan house and paid tribute to him for his long service.—KMS
