MANAMA – Bahrain, an island country in West Asia, has relaxed rules regarding investment in the country to attract more international residents.
It offers Golden Visa to foreign national who invest a certain amount in the country. In latest development it has reduced the minimum investment requirement for the visa.
Reports revealed that Bahrain has decreased the minimum investment requirement for its Golden Visa program by 35 percent.
Minimum Investment for Bahrain Golden Visa
The Bahrain’ Ministry of Interior, through its Nationality, Passports, and Residency Affairs, revealed that the investment threshold has been lowered from 200,000 Bahraini Dinars to 130,000 Bahraini Dinars.
This decision opens up the Golden Visa program to a wider range of individuals. Those who own property worth at least 130,000 Bahraini Dinars are now eligible for the visa.
The Golden Visa program targets a diverse group, including real estate investors, professionals earning a minimum of 2,000 Bahraini Dinars per month, retirees who have worked in Bahrain for at least 15 years, and non-resident retirees with pensions of 4,000 Bahraini Dinars or more.
Bahrain Golden Visa Application Fee
Applicants must submit their request through the Ministry’s online portal, providing necessary documentation such as a passport, six months’ bank statements, health insurance, and proof of residence. The application fee is 5 Bahraini Dinars.
With this updated policy, individuals holding the Golden Visa can work anywhere in Bahrain, making it a highly attractive option for those looking to settle in the country.
The relaxed criteria are expected to enhance Bahrain’s appeal as a destination for investment and long-term residency.
