If you are planning to start creating apps without being coding expert, the wait is over as AI builds it within moments. That’s the vision behind Meta’s new AI app, Pocket, which quietly appeared on app stores without any official announcement.
Designed to turn simple text prompts into interactive apps and games, Pocket could make app creation possible for anyone, even without coding skills.
Unlike traditional AI tools that focus on creating images or videos, Pocket enables users to generate interactive digital experiences simply by describing what they want in plain text, AI then builds a working mini app or game, significantly lowering the barrier to software creation.
Meta calls these AI-generated creations “Gizmos.” Users can build their own Gizmos, share them with others, browse community-made projects, and in certain cases remix or modify existing creations.
According to details listed on Google Play, Gizmos are designed to go far beyond static content. They can respond to touchscreen gestures, device motion, music, and sound effects, while some are also capable of using the smartphone’s camera, photo gallery, and other hardware features to deliver richer, more immersive experiences.
Pocket first appeared on Apple App Store and Google Play on June 29, 2026 but Meta is yet to officially announce the application, suggesting it is currently being tested before a wider global rollout. The app is not yet available in all regions.
Pocket closely resembles the capabilities of the AI platform Gizmo, which specialized in creating AI-powered mini apps and games. Earlier this year, Meta brought Gizmo’s engineering team onboard and licensed its underlying technology. The developers now work within Meta Superintelligence Labs, strengthening Meta’s push into next-generation AI products.
Pocket brings Meta’s rapidly expanding AI strategy as over the past year, the social media giant introduced Meta AI, AI-powered image generation, Vibes for AI video creation, and a growing range of AI features across Facebook, Instagram, and its other platforms.
Pocket takes that vision a step further. Rather than limiting AI to generating text, images, or videos, the new app allows users to create fully interactive games and functional mini applications using nothing more than a written description.
If widely released, Pocket could make app and game development accessible to millions of people with no coding experience, potentially reshaping how everyday users create software with AI.
