ISLAMABAD – Federal Government notified an administrative reshuffle within the Capital Development Authority (CDA), with appointment of new board members.
According to official notifications issued by the Ministry of Interior, several key wings of the authority including Administration, Estate, and Planning will see a change in leadership.
Talat Mahmood, a BS-20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) who was serving as Member (Administration), has been repatriated to the Establishment Division with immediate effect.
Mr. Khalid Hafeez, an officer from the C&W Department of the Government of Punjab, has been relieved of his duties as Member (Planning) and directed to report back to his parent department in Punjab.
To fill the vacancies, the government authorized the following appointments, Mr. Esfandyar Baloch, a BS-19 PAS officer, has been transferred from his current post as Member (Environment) to take over the crucial Administration wing.
Zaman Wattoo, a retired officer of the Provincial Management Service (PMS) Punjab, has been appointed to lead the Estate wing. He joins the CDA on a contract basis under standard terms and conditions.
The appointments are effective immediately. This restructuring is seen by many as a move to streamline CDA operations and bring fresh oversight to the capital’s urban development and land management.
