Major General Faisal Naseer has been appointed National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) for a three-year term.
According to an official notification issued by the Establishment Division on Friday, the federal government has made the appointment under Section 9(1) of the NACTA Act, 2013.
Maj Gen Faisal Naseer will serve in the position on a secondment basis under standard terms and conditions. His appointment has taken effect immediately and will remain in force until further orders.
The notification, dated September 4, 2026, was circulated among senior government officials and relevant federal and provincial authorities.
Recipients included the President’s Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Division, Interior Division and provincial chief secretaries.
