In a joint operation by Pakistan Rangers Sindh and District City Police, two notorious members of a robbery gang, including the ring-leader, were apprehended in the Lyari area. The suspects have been identified as Ayaz Ali Sial and his accomplice, Hayat Baloch. The operation was conducted based on intelligence information, leading to the recovery of weapons from the suspects. Sial and Baloch confessed to stopping vehicles at gunpoint and robbing salesmen.

They revealed a scheme where they altered the identification numbers of stolen motorcycles before selling them to two buyers, Wajid and Hoshiar, who transported the bikes from Karachi to Balochistan for resale.

Ayaz Ali Sial, the gang leader, also admitted to stealing cattle from Gulshan-e-Maymar and New Lyari with the help of his wife. Along with his brothers Fayyaz, Azmat, and brother-in-law Murad, Sial orchestrated armed robberies targeting various company vehicles in areas such as Lyari, Gadap Town, and Gulshan-e-Maymar. CCTV footage corroborates his involvement in these criminal activities. The suspects also confessed to robbing Rs 450,000 at gunpoint from a vehicle carrying flour in the Faqeera Goth area. Both men have previous criminal records and have been incarcerated in the past. The arrested individuals, along with the recovered weapons, have been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
