LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) demolished infrastructures of 14 illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions in different areas of Lahore on Friday.
During a grand operation, LDA’s Directorate of Metropolitan Planning Zone IV demolished offices, gates, boundary walls, roads, sewerage, and other infrastructures of these illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions.
The action was taken against S J Garden, Royal Garden, Elite Villas, Sofia Farms I & II, Bedian Homes, Seesta Enclave, Golden Farms, Abdul Razzaq Garden, Orchard Farms, Green Earth Villas, Golfer Lane Phase I & Phase II, Theatre Garden & Homes.
LDA Chief Metropolitan Planner (CMP) supervised the operations carried out by the enforcement teams with the help of the Police and heavy machinery.
According to the LDA officials, several notices were served on the owners of these housing schemes/land subdivisions before carrying out the operation.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against illegal housing schemes and land subdivisions across Lahore.
