Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, the Minister for Home, Law, and Parliamentary Affairs of Sindh, has affirmed that peace and security will not be compromised under any circumstances. He emphasized that his foremost priority is to establish peace and maintain law and order throughout the province, from Karachi to Kashmore.

Addressing the media at the Sindh assembly in Karachi, Lanjar stated, “Those involved in street crimes in Karachi will face strict repercussions, especially those who resort to violence over trivial matters.”

He assured that qualified and reputable police officers will be appointed, and with the cooperation of the public, peace will be ensured across the province. Lanjar highlighted that proactive policing and enhanced security measures will be implemented to curb rising street crime in Karachi, emphasizing its status as a major city.

Efforts will also be made to address social crimes occurring in urban areas, with stringent actions against perpetrators, regardless of their influence. Moreover, Lanjar underscored the importance of prioritizing other districts of Sindh, such as Kashmore, Ghotki, and Shikarpur, to establish peace and security.

He mentioned plans to establish camp offices in Larkana and Sukkur, with regular visits to address local concerns. In addition, Lanjar mentioned the possibility of deploying paramilitary forces in certain areas to assist the police, if necessary. He affirmed the government’s commitment to combat criminals and bring about significant change, including necessary amendments in prosecution, with consultations with legal experts to address this matter.
