In response to allegations against Nasim Memon, a provincial prosecutor, the Governor of Sindh has recommended further investigations into the matter, suggesting the involvement of the FIA Cyber Crime Wing.
The case, pertaining to legal and technical deficiencies under the Harassment Act 2010, is being referred back to the provincial prosecutor, following which concrete legal investigations will be conducted with the assistance of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The FIA Cyber Crime Wing will ascertain the ownership of the referred Facebook account, necessitating verification of IP addresses and devices from both parties involved. While referring the case back to the provincial prosecutor, the implementation of November 24 directive will be temporarily halted.
