Rain lashed Lahore and parts of Punjab on Wednesday, providing some respite to the citizens from the prevailing muggy weather.
Experts have forecast more rains with isolated heavy downpours for Lahore and parts of Punjab on Wednesday evening and night, Thursday and Friday, with occasional breaks.
Synoptic Situation
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak moist currents are penetrating the upper parts of Punjab. A westerly wave also prevails over northern parts of the country.
Weather Forecast
Under these conditions, hot and humid weather is expected in most districts of the province on Wednesday evening and night, Thursday and Friday. However, partly cloudy weather with rain is likely in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Gujranwala and Gujrat.
Heavy downpours may also occur at isolated places during the period.
Downpours may cause urban flooding in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Gujrat.
Temperatures Outlook
Daytime temperatures in Lahore are expected to remain between 36°C and 38°C on Thursday and Friday.

During the last 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the province. However, rain-wind/thundershowers occurred in Lahore, Islamabad and the Potohar region.
