LAHORE – Sabzazar Police have registered a case on the complaint of stage actress Urooj, who has accused a man of sexual assault, recording a video of the alleged incident and subsequently blackmailing her.
Actress Urooj alleged that a man identified as Nasir Khan initially befriended her and later promised to arrange stage dramas and provide her with work. She said he subsequently began visiting her home frequently.
The actress further alleged that Nasir took advantage of their acquaintance and invited her to his residence, where he allegedly gave her a juice containing an intoxicating substance and sexually assaulted her.
She also alleged that the suspect recorded an objectionable video of her following the alleged assault.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the suspect has allegedly been blackmailing her and threatening to make the video public.
The police confirmed that a case had been registered at Sabzazar Police Station based on the actress’s complaint.
The officials said raids were being conducted at various locations to arrest the suspect and that efforts were underway to take him into custody.
The case comes amid a previous incident involving the same suspect. In 2024, a man identified as Nasir Khan allegedly opened fire outside actress Urooj Khan’s residence in broad daylight.
At the time, police sources said the suspect wanted to establish a relationship with the actress and had allegedly been threatening her with a weapon for several days.
