LAHORE – Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day celebrations continued with patriotic fervour across the country as the Lahore Corps Commander visited the Mausoleum of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and paid homage to the national poet.
The Lahore Corps Commander laid a floral wreath at the Mausoleum of Iqbal and offered Fateha, honouring the memory and legacy of Hakim-ul-Ummat Allama Muhammad Iqbal, whose vision and philosophy played a pivotal role in inspiring the struggle for a separate homeland.
The visit formed part of the nationwide Independence Day celebrations being observed on August 14, with ceremonies and events taking place across Pakistan to mark the historic occasion.
The Lahore Corps Commander’s visit to Mazar-e-Iqbal underscored the enduring significance of Iqbal’s vision and his contribution to the ideological foundations of Pakistan.
