Alhamra’s monthly session “Kuch Yaadain Kuch Batain” was held in Alhamra hall 3 at Alhamra Arts Centre the Mall, in which country’s most renowned novelist, active tourist, columnist and artist Mustansar Hussain Tarar was the guest speaker.
Lahore Arts Council‘s programme titled “Kuch “Yaadain Kuch Batain” provided the audience with an opportunity to listen our legends, who talked about their experiences, career and the complete journey of their artistic life. The event was hosted by Sumera Khalil. In the second episode of the series, Mustansar Hussain Tarar shared his life experiences and his literary journey in detail to the audience. On the occasion, he shared historical events and highlighted his observations throughout Vietnam and Cuba’s journey, which the audience heard from the enormous interest and enjoyed his fascinating events. Mustansar Hussain Tarar thanked and appreciated the initiative taken by Chairperson BOG Lahore Moneeza Hashmi who was also present at the event.
On the occasion, Chairperson Board of Governors Lahore Arts Council Moneeza Hashmi thanked Mustansar Hussain to be there with us. She said that Mustansar Hussain Tarar‘s work is unique due to his passion for tourism, the reader could not live without enjoying the taste of his writing. She further said that, “Kuch Yaadain Kuch Batain”’s basic purpose is to give the chance to our younger generation to enlighten and benefit from the experiences of our legends. Our youth can not only achieve success in practical life by utilizing the services of their legend, but also achieve excellence in their work to follow their footsteps, she added.
Director of Alhamra Arts Council, Ather Ali Khan said that our new series “Kuch Yaadain Kuch Batain” is the exclusive program of its kind in which Alhamra has invited celebrities from arts, literature and culture to its monthly sessions. He stated that the famous novelist, columnist and artist Mustansar Husain is a revered personality of his time, his dozens of novels, plays and travels are our literary assets and he is the reference and true recognition of Pakistan in the world by his services in the field of literature. Khan called this program as the significant step towards remembering Pakistan’s national icons.
