Multan Sultans thrashed Hyderabad Kingsmen by six wickets in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Chasing a challenging 226-run target for victory, Multan Sultans crossed the finish line with six wickets and eight balls remaining.
Player of the match Sahibzada Farhan was the highest scorer with an unbeaten 106 off 57 balls, hitting seven fours and eight maximums. His opening partner Steve Smith made a rapid 46 off just 20 balls, laced with two fours and four maximums.
Shan Masood contributed 29 off 16 balls, hitting two fours and as many sixes. Arafat Minhas made an unbeaten 26 off just 11 balls with the help of four fours and one maximum. Saim Ayub bagged two wickets while Hassan Khan and Maheesh Theekshana took one wicket apiece.
Hyderabad Kingsmen Innings:
Opting to bat first, Hyderabad Kingsmen batters came out all guns blazing and managed to reach a mammoth total of 225/5 in their quota of 20 overs.
Maaz Sadaqat was the top scorer for Kingsmen, who made 62 off just 26 balls, laced with five fours and as many maximums. Sharjeel Khan contributed an unbeaten 51 off 26 balls, hitting three fours and four maximums.
Saim Ayub made 27 off 20 balls with the help of three fours and one maximum, while Usman Khan hit three maximums in his knock of 25 off just 12 balls.
Syed Saad Ali made 23 off 19 balls, while Irfan Khan Niazi contributed an unbeaten 22 off 13 balls with the help of two fours and one maximum.
Mohammad Wasim Junior bagged two wickets, while Ashton Turner, Peter Siddle and Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket apiece.
