In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association has condemned the arrest of rights defender Khurram Parvez by India’s notorious National Investigation Agency on false and frivolous allegations.
The Bar Association in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the arrest of human rights defender is aimed at silencing the human rights activists and suppress the voice of the voiceless victims in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Bar expressed its deep concern on his arrest and demanded his immediate release. It appealed to the UN Human Rights Commission and other rights agencies to intervene for safety and immediate re-lea.—KMS
