Kashmiri students targeted in name of profiling in India


Over 200 colleges affiliated with Indian Universities in Punjab and Haryana states have started profiling Kashmiri students.

After Karnataka state of India, now hundreds of Kashmiri students studying in different colleges of Punjab and Haryana are directed by Indian agencies and authorities to provide their personal details.

Jammu and Kashmir Students Association Spokesman Nasir Khuehami told media men that Kashmiri students are directed to provide personal details in Punjab and Haryana colleges.

“They have been asked to provide their present and permanent address, cell number, e-mail along with details of courses,” he said. Jammu and Kashmir Students Association has demanded an end to the practice of targeting the Kashmiri students in India.—KMS
