All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Dr Umar Farooq said that in these severely difficult times of the global pandemic which the world is struggling to deal with Kashmir is reeling under lockdown. “In such a time Govt of India is sneakily speeding up new ordinances that affect demographic complexion in Jammu and Kashmir that would turn Kashmiri residents into a minority with the passage of time . This is being done during time of the pandemic lockdown which follows the August 2019 lockdown so that people already under duress due to the repeated lockdowns are unable to protest it, makes it more condemnable”, he said in a statement in Srinagar on Tuesday.
“APHC observes that Govt of India is doing this at a time when the world is distracted by the pandemic to take notice, so it fervently appeals to the global community and people with a just conscience in India, to wake up to these happenings in J&K and respond to our situation in the light of ethics and principles of justice”, the statement adds..
“APHC reiterates that J&K is an internationally acknowledged issue that has to be resolved peacefully as per the wishes of its people and among three parties to this conflict, India, Pakistan and the people of entire J&K”, the statement concludes.
