KARACHI – Cool weather and rains will make a comeback in Karachi, and other parts of Sindh for upcoming days.

Karachi Rains

Over the weekend, rainfall of up to 15 millimeters is expected. Thunderstorm clouds may develop in suburban areas by this evening, and rain is expected to continue intermittently until the morning of April 15.

The second westerly wave is predicted to reach southern parts of the country, including Sindh and Balochistan, next week. The port city will see rain on Thursday and Friday.

This system could bring rain to Karachi’s coastal areas, with storm potentially forming in the outskirts of the city. Karachi may experience rain and thunderstorms on April 18 and 19 under this system.

Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, has directed the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), all towns, and the water board to prepare for heavy rains.

He emphasized the importance of keeping rainwater drains and other drainage systems clean for the smooth flow of water. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has been tasked with coordinating with all civic agencies, and the CM has urged people to take necessary precautions, especially regarding children’s safety, during the expected heavy rains.
