KARACHI – Karachi is expected to face water shortages for up to 12 hours today as maintenance work is carried out at major power supply stations.
A spokesperson for the Water Corporation said that annual maintenance at the Dhabeji substation and grid station will lead to a reduction of 100 million gallons in the city’s water supply.
As a result, water supply will be partially affected in Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, DHA, Chanesar Town, Jinnah Town, North Nazimabad and Gulberg Town.
Earlier this year in January, several areas in Karachi faced water shortage as K-Electric’s maintenance activity was due to take place from 8am to 8pm.
K-Electric (KE) had planned scheduled maintainence on Sunday January 05 at Dhabeji Pumping Station.
