KARACHI – Administration in the southern port city of Pakistan is expected to announce closure of schools in wake of upcoming 12th edition of the defence exhibition and seminar, IDEAS 2024.

The exhibition is set to commence at the Karachi Expo Center from Tuesday (November 16). The exhibition will showcase a wide range of modern and traditional defense equipment, weapon systems and vehicles.

Local and international delegates, security analysts, exhibitors, and high-level policy makers and planners will attend the exhibition.

As the government will take strict security measures in the city, educational institutions located along Shahrah-e-Faisal and Habib Ibrahim Rahmatullah Road are likely to be closed from November 19 to 22.

If the schools in these areas are closed for four days, they will reopen on Monday, Nov 25, as there are two weekly offs on Saturday and Sunday.

However, the final decision about the closure of schools in the certain areas will be taken by the authorities after reviewing the security plans.
