KARACHI – The Karachi Traffic Police have closed MA Jinnah Road from Tibet to Garden Chowk for all traffic due to ongoing rescue and cooling operations at Gul Plaza following a devastating fire.
Officials have confirmed that 14 people have tragically lost their lives, and over 60 remain missing. Rescue teams are working tirelessly to locate and save those trapped inside the collapsed building.
Alternate Routes
Commuters heading towards Tower from Numaish are advised to take a left turn at Capri, then proceed via Saddar Dawakhana, Empress Market, Regal, and Burns Road, before turning right at Fresco to reach Tower.
For those heading to Mazar-e-Quaid, the route from Fresco should be directed towards Regal, then take a left turn at Empress Market and head towards Frere Hall Chowk to reach the destination.
Motorists are urged to follow these alternate routes to avoid delays and assist in the ongoing recovery efforts.
