After hitting a seasonal high of 44°C on Monday, temperatures in Karachi are expected to ease slightly, staying below 40°C over the next couple of days.
Meanwhile, Mithi remained the hottest place in Sindh on Tuesday, recording 44°C. In Karachi, the maximum temperature reached 38°C, with evening humidity climbing to around 48%. Similar weather is likely to continue in the port city through Wednesday and Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, most parts of the country are currently under the influence of continental air, leading to hot and dry conditions.
Forecast:
Very hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in Karachi, Hyderabad, and other districts of Sindh through midweek.
Temperature Outlook:
Karachi’s daytime temperatures are likely to range between 38°C and 40°C on Wednesday and Thursday, rising slightly to 39°C–41°C on Friday.
Hyderabad is expected to experience more intense heat, with temperatures forecast between 40°C and 42°C on Wednesday and Thursday, and 41°C to 43°C on Friday.
Recent conditions:
Over the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather dominated much of Sindh. Mithi recorded 44°C with high evening humidity levels, while Karachi and Hyderabad saw highs of 38°C and 40°C, respectively, accompanied by moderate humidity.
Health Advisory:
Health experts have advised residents to take precautions, including avoiding outdoor exposure during peak hours—especially between 11 am and 3 pm—staying well-hydrated, and wearing light, loose clothing. People are also urged to cover their heads when stepping outside.
Doctors further recommend avoiding unhygienic street food and consuming clean or boiled water to reduce the risk of stomach-related illnesses.
