The United Arab Emirates said on Tuesday that its air defence systems were intercepting missiles and drones launched from Iran for a second consecutive day, despite a fragile ceasefire between Tehran and the United States.
In a statement on X, the UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that defences were actively responding to incoming ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. It added that loud sounds reported in different parts of the country were caused by interception operations carried out by its air defence systems.
Authorities said the systems remain fully engaged in countering the aerial threats, as tensions persist in the region.
