Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has strongly condemned the forcible dismissal of more than 4,500 employees of Pakistan Steel Mills and demanded that the federal government give a roadmap to run the national enterprise Steel Mills. “Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan stands with the employees of Steel Mills, legal and political battle has already been fought for the rights of the employees, the struggle for the rights of the employees and the restoration of the institution will continue.” Addressing a press conference with the officials of PASLUUnion at Idarae Noor-e-Haq on Monday, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan and Asad Omar before assuming power used to say that he restore steel mills and provide security to the employees, but now he is firing the employees himself. Hafiz Naeem said that the announcement of Federal Minister HamadAzhar to pay Rs. 2.3 million to the employees was a joke, while the fact was that about two and a half thousand employees would be paid one month’s salary. He said that PPP made political recruitments in steel mills and destroyed the company with financial deficit and PML-N fully ruined the PSM and now PTI also fired its employees instead of rehabilitating the steel mills and cooled the stoves of thousands of families. He further said that Pakistan Steel Mill is a national enterprise but due to the interference of parties and corruption, the institution was destroyed
