Jamaat-e-Islami orchestrated widespread protests under the banner of ‘Youm al-Quds’ across Karachi. The demonstrations, held outside mosques and public venues, attracted thousands of participants who voiced their rejection of the Greater Israel project and condemned American servitude and India’s aggression in the region. Speaking at the rallies, leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and local officials emphasized that Pakistan would never accept the concept of Greater Israel or any attempts to impose American hegemony or Indian dominance in the region.
They warned that any Pakistani rulers attempting such actions would face widespread opposition. Protesters carried banners and placards denouncing the Israeli occupation and expressing solidarity with the struggle for freedom in Gaza. Funds were collected for Palestine, with generous contributions from the public.
District officials and leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami addressed the gatherings, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the liberation of Al-Quds and emphasizing that Jerusalem holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims worldwide.
The protests spanned across numerous locations, including Banaras, Metroville, Gulshan-e-Ghazi, Ittehad Town, Mashriq Colony, Islamiya Colony, Frontier Colony, Bhains Colony, Model Colony, Jinnah Square, Kausar Town, Chaman Colony, Shah Faisal Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Green Town, Rafah-e-Aam, Liaquatabad, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Sirjan Town, Malir, Saudabad, Landhi, Korangi, Kemari, Orangi Town, Baldia Town, and other areas. Local leaders and officials, including Saifuddin Advocate, Syed Abdul Rashid, Abdul Jameel Khan, MaulanaMudassirHussain Ansari, MaulanaFazalAhad, Muhammad Yousuf, Muhammad Islam, Abdul Razzaq Khan, Irfan Ahmed, Deputy Amir East Engineer Aziz-ud-Din Zafer, FarooqNaimatullah, SyedaZohraHasan, and Tawfiq-ud-Din Siddiqui, addressed the crowds.
