Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur on Monday inaugurated the Vaccination Center at the Medical Center, Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus.
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that vaccination has been made mandatory by the government for teachers, employees of educational institutions and students.
That is why a vaccination center has been set up at Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with the Punjab Government and the District Health Authority so that the university community can benefit from the vaccination facility on campus.
Dr. Zakir Ali, Focal Person of the District Health Authority spoke on the occasion. He said that initially 250 people would be vaccinated daily in this vaccination center which would be gradually increased.
He said that the vaccination center set up at Islamia University of Bahawalpur was a mobile health vaccination center established by the provincial government and district health authority.
Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Chief / Focal Person of University Covid-19 Vaccination Prevention Committee, Prof. Dr. Moazzam Jameel, Registrar, Dr. Muhammad Usman Cheema, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Safina Sheikh, Senior Medical Officer, Salman Qureshi, Focal Person Covid-19 Committee, Major Ijaz Hussain Shah, Chief Security Officer and other medical staff were also present.
