Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Tuesday evening/night and the next two days.
Clear sky and dry conditions will cause a gradual decrease in the mercury levels across Pakistan during the current week.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in the Twin Cities and most parts of the country on Tuesday evening and night, as well as the next two days. Freezing weather is expected in the northern parts. Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.
Islamabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 05°C and 07°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 06°C and 08°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, rain occurred in Kashmir, Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours. Snowfall occurred in the hilly areas. The weather remained cold and dry elsewhere in the country. Moderate to dense fog occurred in Punjab and upper Sindh.

Leh remained the coldest place in the country, where the temperature dropped 08°C below the freezing point. The minimum temperature in Gupis was recorded at -04°C, in Kalam and Quetta at -03°C, in Kalat at -02°C, and in Malam Jabba at -01°C.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 07°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 94 per cent.
