Cold and dry weather will likely prevail in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.
Fog, in patches, will likely persist in the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh during the period.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather will likely prevail in the Twin Cities and most parts of the country on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday. Freezing weather will likely prevail in the northern parts. Fog (in patches) may develop over plain areas of northeast/south Punjab and upper Sindh during night/morning.
Islamabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 04°C and 06°C on Thursday, between 03°C and 05°C on Friday, and between 04°C and 06°C on Saturday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 06°C and 08°C on Thursday, between 05°C and 07°C on Friday, and between 06°C and 08°C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in the northern parts.
Leh remained the coldest place in the country, where the temperature dropped 09°C below the freezing point. The minimum temperature in Kalat was recorded at -06°C, in Ziarat at -05°C, in Skardu, Gupis and Quetta at -04°C, in Kalam and Astore at -03°C, and in Dir and Malam Jabba at -02°C.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 05°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 93 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 07°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 87 per cent.
