ISLAMABAD – Residents of Islamabad need to plan their Sunday amid interruptions to electricity as IESCO prepares to switch off power in several areas for scheduled maintenance. From early morning until evening, multiple feeders and transmission lines will face outages, leaving affected residents to plan their day around the announced shutdowns.
According to the IESCO shutdown plan, Attock Circle will see electricity suspended from 5 a.m. to 12 noon in areas connected to the Industrial Estate Bahtar and Hussain Abad feeders. The power disruption will also hit Chakwal Circle, where supplies through the Mureed, Jamal Wal and Mengan feeders will remain suspended from 6 a.m. until noon.
Islamabad Power Suspension Schedule
GSO Circle faces multiple shutdown windows throughout the day, with some transmission lines remaining offline for several hours.
From 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., the 132kV Circuit Breaker ISD-5, controlling the 132kV Zero Point-I-8 circuit, will be shut down.
Another major suspension is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., affecting the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan lines.
The longest outage window is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., affecting the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132kV New Wah-Bahtermore lines, along with their related earth switches and surrounding areas.
IESCO urged consumers to take note of the schedule and plan accordingly, while apologizing for the temporary disruption. The company said supplies would be restored before the announced timings if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule.
