The value of Iran’s petrochemical exports has reached $18 billion since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022), a senior official with the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) announced.
According to NPC’s Director of Planning and Development Hassan Abbaszedeh, the Islamic republic exported $15 billion worth of petrochemical products in the previous Iranian year, IRIB reported.
In late August 2022, NPC Managing Director Morteza Shahmirzaei said Iran’s annual export of petrochemicals was expected to reach $18 billion in the current Iranian year, while according to Abbaszadeh, this figure has been achieved in 10 months.—Tehran Times
