Two missiles struck a US Navy vessel near Jask in the Strait of Hormuz after it allegedly failed to comply with warnings from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to stop, Iran’s Fars News Agency claimed, citing local sources.
The report surfaced shortly after the IRGC said its naval forces had blocked US warships from entering the Strait of Hormuz, adding that it had issued a “firm and immediate warning” and would release further details later.

The claims came amid heightened tensions following remarks by Donald Trump, who announced that the US would launch “Project Freedom” to escort stranded vessels through Hormuz. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated the mission would involve 15,000 troops, along with more than 100 aircraft, naval ships, and drones.
However, CENTCOM denied the Iranian reports, stating that no US Navy vessels had been hit. In a post on X, it added that American forces are currently backing Project Freedom while maintaining a naval blockade on Iranian ports, directly contradicting the earlier claims by Fars News Agency.
