Iran Responds to Trump’s Kharg Island Threats With Stern Warning

Iran has issued a stern warning to the United States following remarks by President Donald Trump suggesting possible military action against Iran’s Kharg Island, cautioning that any such move would have severe repercussions.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian parliament’s Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, responded to Trump’s comments in a post on X, warning that no American troops would survive if Washington launched an attack.

“Not even a single American soldier will return alive,” Rezaei wrote, adding, “Come on, we’re waiting for you,” in a direct challenge to the United States following Trump’s remarks made during the NATO summit.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi also condemned Trump’s statements, describing them as evidence that Washington’s long-standing policy of pressure against Tehran had failed.

In a post on X, Gharibabadi said Trump’s threats of further military action did not reflect strength but instead highlighted the collapse of a strategy built on sanctions, coercion, and intimidation.

He added that Iran should respond to Trump “in his own language,” arguing that the US president appeared to understand the use of force better than diplomatic engagement.
