On the directive of Commissioner Hazara, Secretary Transport Authority Hazara Division Umar Khan has fixed the new rates for the inner city routs of Suzuki Van, Monday. A meeting was held at the office of RTA attended by SSP Traffic ArifJaved, Additional Assistant Commissioner Ali Sher Khan Khalil, representatives of Suzuki Union, representatives of local bodies, Vice Chairman Hazara Qaumi Mahaz, civil society representatives after consultation While fixing the fare of Suzuki vehicles running on local routes at Rs 3.5 per km, Secretary RTA has said that no one will be allowed to charge more than the fixed fare. Strict legal action will be taken against the perpetrators.

He expressed these views while discussing in his office in a consultative meeting regarding fixing the fare of Suzuki running on local routes. . Secretary RTA said that the job of RTA is to fix the fare while its implementation is the job of traffic police, district administration officers and TMA. He further said that any Suzuki vehicle without a route permits. Will never be allowed to run. According to revised schedule, Rs30/= were fixed from Abbottabad to Ayub Medical Complex, Rs20/= for Nawansher.
