India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at multiple locations in several districts of the territory, today.

The NIA sleuths along with the personnel of In-dian Central Reserve Police Force raided and searched houses of Farooq Ahmad Butt, Zubair Ahmad Dar and Ali Mohammad Dar in Aripathen area of Badgam district. The raids were conducted in connection with a case registered by the NIA under draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

An official of the agency told the media that raids are being conducted in connection with a case already registered at the NIA office. The details of the case will be shared later, he said.

The NIA also raided several houses in Srinagar, Islamabad, Rajouri, Poonch and Kishtwar districts.

Those whose houses were raided are supporters of the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for the right to self-determination and freedom from Indian illegal occupation.—KMS
