Indian troops continue their massive cordon and search operations in several districts of Jammu region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, subjecting the residents to severe harassment.

The troops and paramilitary personnel along with members of dreaded militia Village Defence Guards carry out searches from time to time mostly in the residences of Muslims in several towns and villages of Poonch, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Jammu, Reasi and Kathua districts.

Meanwhile, posters remembering the victims of Chotta Bazaar massacre appeared again in Srinagar on the eve of their martyrdom anniversary. The personnel of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force had martyred more than 30 people, including women and children, by resorting to in-discriminate fire in Chotta Bazaar area of Srinagar on June 11, 1991.

Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar in a statement demanded the release of its chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, from continued house arrest before the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. The Mirwaiz has been under house detention since August 05, 2019.

On the other hand, a US-based human rights group “Justice for All” in its report has drawn a parallel between the Hindutva ideology and the Nazis.

The report said what is happening in India today clearly demonstrates that the country is on a dangerous trajectory to becoming a Nazi-inspired fascist, ma-joritarian state, where its minorities and particularly its more than 200 million Muslims, face an impend-ing danger of genocide.—KMS
