In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, has said that Indian troops are brutally killing innocent youth in fake encounters and extrajudicial killings have become a norm in the territory.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi said in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian troops martyred a young man, Imtiaz Ahmad Dar, in Bandipora on Monday and his family members said that he was martyred in a fake encounter.

He said that on May 25, 2000, Indian troops claimed to have killed five militants in Pathribal area of Islamabad district, saying that the militants were involved in the massacre of 35 Sikhs in the Chhittisinghpora area of the district on the eve of the then US President, Bill Clinton’s visit to India on May 20, 2000.

He said that later investigations had proved that the five people killed by the troops in Pathribal were innocent.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi said that Indian forces had turned the occupied territory into a slaughter house but the Modi government should remember that it could not suppress the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people by killing innocent youth.—KMS
