Indian forces continue house raids across IIOJK

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) along with Indian paramilitary forces continued their raids on the houses of common people and journalists in the valley.

The SIA and paramilitary forces during raids barged into houses of Arroj Nisar Sheikh, Myser Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad, Ubaid Ahmad, Rahat Farooq, Advocate Adnan Bashir, Mushtaq Ahmad Thokar and others in Srinagar, Bandipora, Islamabad, Shopian, Budgam and Pulwama districts.

The houses of prominent journalist Showkat A Motta in Srinagar and a Kashmiri doctor Asif Dar, who is on asylum in an Arab country, were also raided and searched in Srinagar and Baramulla areas.

The searches and house raids were started a few days ago to harass the pro-freedom leaders and activists in the territory.

Earlier, the houses of journalists and pro-freedom activists, including Mohammad Rafi, Khalid Gul, Rashid Maqbool, Basit Dar, Sajjad Kralyari, Gowhar Gilani, Qazi Shibli, Waseem Khalid and Adil Pandit were searched, the police said.—KMS
