A senior Indian military officer has clarified that media reports claiming its army is carrying out “pinpoint strikes” inside Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) are “fake.”
The Press Trust of India (PTI) while quoting sources on Thursday said intelligence-based targeted strikes are being conducted by the Indian army to neutralise mostly “Pakistani and foreign terrorists, and the collateral damage has been very negligible in these operations”.
The reports of Indian army’s action in AJK across the Line of Control (LoC) are fake, ANI quoted Military Operations DG Lt Gen Paramjit Singh as saying.
