The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and organizations have said that India is an established violator of human rights and is continuously trampling the international laws and conventions in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders and organizations including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Muhammad Saleem Zargar, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Javaid Ahmed Mir, Mir Shahid Saleem, Narender Singh Khalsa, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir and Muslim Conference Jammu and Kashmir in their statements issued in Srinagar deplore that the Narendra Modi-led Indian government has usurped all basic rights of the people of occupied Kashmir. They said the Hindutva-inspired Modi regime revoked Kashmir’s special status in August 2019 and after that is settling the Indian Hindus in the occupied territory in flagrant violation of the international laws and the UN resolutions.

The APHC leaders and organizations pointed out that India is using black laws to arrest the Kashmiris to punish them for challenging its illegal occupation of their homeland. They lamented that India has long been preventing the Kashmiris from exercising their internationally-recognized right to self-determination.

The statements said that the Modi regime must be punished for violating international laws and agreements in occupied Kashmir. The UN is morally bound to help resolve the Kashmir dispute as per its resolutions, they said, and urged the world powers to stop shutting their eyes to the plight of the people of occupied Kashmir.—KMS
