In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights J &K has said that India is no longer a de-mocracy as it has trampled all the principles of a modern democracy.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, the IFJHRJK Chairperson, Mubammad Ahsan Untoo said that upholding the human rights is the hallmark of any democracy and India has used all the measures to undermine the human rights in the disputed terri-tory.

Untoo said that the detention of renowned hu-man rights activists Khurram Parvez and Gautam Nawlakha is a blot on India and its so-called democ-racy.

He added that the present Indian dispensation has caged all such activists who would expose the human rights abuses.

Parvez and Nawlakha are two examples who are being hounded for exposing the Indian states ex-cesses.

The statement said that while India is trampling human rights and detaining those who are exposing the rights abuses to put a curtain on its wrongdo-ings.—KMS
