The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chairman and opposition leader in Senate Raja Zafar-ul-Haq has said that India is massively committing human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
He was talking to a UK-based delegation led by President of International Human Rights Movement, Raja Sultan Basharat at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Friday.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Senator Javed Abbasi, Senator Nuzhat Aamir, Senator Sardar Yaqoob Nasir, Senator Lt Gen. (Retd) Abdul Qayoom Malik and Senator Captain (Retd) Shaheen were also present on the occasion.
Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said that the continued military siege in the occupied territory had proved that India had neither regard for UN Kashmir resolutions nor the human rights.
He said that the international community should take notice of the grave situation in occupied Kashmir and help resolve the lingering dispute according to the UN resolutions. He said that the situation in occupied Kashmir would be discussed in Senate next week and the opposition parties would present its viewpoint.
The opposition leader in the Senate told the delegation that Kashmiris and Pakistanis living abroad had raised their voice effectively and expressed the hope that they would continuously highlight the Kashmir dispute at every forum of the world. The delegation also informed the Senators about the efforts of the organization to expose Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir before the world.
Mushahid Hussain Sayed on the occasion said that the PML-N had always given priority to the settlement of the Kashmir dispute and projected it at all forums.
