The police claimed to have arrested a prayers leader on charges of blackmailing his students including girls.
According to police, hundreds of obnoxious pictures – of his girl and boy students – have been found in the mobile phone of the arrested imam identified as: Inayat Rasool.
He has been a mosque imam and seminary teacher in Jhumra area of Faisalabad for more than two years, the police said, adding that a case has been registered against him and investigation is underway.
Some of the girl students complained to the police that the prayers leader had made their objectionable videos on his mobile phone and later tried to blackmail them.
It is to be mentioned here that many cases of online harassment have been reported in the recent past. From women getting threats online to people leaking their private pictures, many cyber harassment cases have come to the surface.
