Minister of Labor and Manpower Sindh Saeed Ghani has said that the Governor has the power in the constitution to ask the Chief Minister to take a vote of confidence. If the Prime Minister or Chief Minister does not have full numbers in the House, then he cannot remain the Leader of the House. If the Chief Minister of Punjab does not have the majority, he does not even have the power to dissolve the House of Assembly.

He expressed these views while talking to the media after the inauguration of the 3rd Mini Thesis Show at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi on Wednesday. The minister said that the people of Karachi have ended the politics of prejudice forever. Karachi is everyone’s city.

Loss of lives of citizens in street crime is a sad process, the Chief Minister is asking for a report in this regard from the police authorities on a daily basis.Saeed Ghani said that if PTI’s formula is followed, it means that the governor has no status in the constitution. He said that one thing has been decided in the Punjab Assembly that the next Chief Minister will be from the opposition.

He said that there are basic things in the constitution of our country.  The one who has the majority in the assembly will be the Chief Minister, if the Chief Minister of Punjab has the majority, then he will be the Chief Minister. To a question, he said that the Governor has the right to ask the Chief Minister to prove his majority. If the Chief Minister of Punjab does not have the majority, he does not have the power to dissolve the House of Assembly. In response to a question, Saeed Ghani said that Asif Ali Zardari never said that I am heavier than everyone.

He said that no one has a majority in the Punjab Assembly at the moment; there is a constitutional democratic effort to form the government.

This logic is not correct that the governor cannot ask for a vote of confidence. He said that when the Governor expresses confidence, he has the power to remove the Chief Minister. To a question, he said that the next Chief Minister of Punjab will be according to the will of the allies.

He said that if PTI had a majority, it would have convened a meeting and the Chief Minister would have called a no-confidence vote against him.On the statement given by Waseem Akhtar regarding Karachi, he said that Waseem Akhtar has said sad things about Masroor Ahsan.

The political people who know Masroor Ahsan know very well that he is not only a political activist, but he even served jail terms for democracy in the Zia-ul-Haq dictatorship. He said that before speaking for a political worker like Masroor Ahsan, these people should also have done work like Masroor Ahsan.
