The Institute of Business Administration’s Center for Executive Education (IBA-CEE) in Karachi hosted a seminar titled “The Mediator’s Magic: Transforming Conflict into Collaboration.” The event drew distinguished guests from various sectors, including the judiciary, corporate world, academia, and international institutions. The seminar focused on the pivotal role of mediation in resolving conflicts and fostering collaboration across diverse contexts.
Dr. Ishrat Husain, Professor Emeritus at IBA, delivered a keynote address highlighting the significance of mediation in conflict resolution and IBA’s contributions in promoting its use. Other speakers, including Justice (R) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and legal experts Zmarak Khan and Siddharth Jha, discussed the international landscape of mediation and its prospects in Pakistan.
A panel of esteemed judges explored the future prospects of mediation in the country, while a discussion moderated by a qualified mediator delved into the practical aspects of mediation. mClosing remarks by Justice Junaid Ghaffar emphasized the importance of nurturing mediation skills for a more peaceful society.
