WhatsApp users can now enjoy the convenience of using their accounts on multiple devices simultaneously, breaking a major limitation of the messaging app.
Previously, users could only access their WhatsApp account on one phone at a time. However, with a new feature, you can now log into your WhatsApp account on two or more phones without getting logged out from the primary device.
To activate this feature, users first need to ensure that both phones have the latest version of WhatsApp installed.
After updating, simply open WhatsApp on the second phone and, instead of entering your phone number, click on the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select the “Link a Device” option.
Next, open WhatsApp on your first phone, navigate to Settings, and select “Linked Devices.” From there, scan the QR code displayed on the second phone.
Once scanned, your WhatsApp account will be activated on the second phone, similar to how WhatsApp Web operates.
It’s important to note that the first phone needs to stay connected to the internet at least once every 14 days to keep the linked devices active. This new functionality allows users to access their WhatsApp messages and data across multiple phones, providing flexibility and convenience, particularly for those who need to use WhatsApp on more than one device.
