Lt. Gen. (Retd) Anwar Ali Hyder, Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) on Friday said the business community is the backbone of the economy and their problems would be resolved on a preferential basis.
The government is paying special attention to boost economic activities for which cooperation of the business community is of paramount importance, he said.
The private sector should fully participate in the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme for low-cost housing projects which will generate economic activity and provide jobs amid the pandemic, he said. Lt. Gen. (retd) Anwar Ali Hyder said this while talking to a delegation of the Islamabad Industrial Association (IIA) led by its President Tariq Sadiq.
Deputy Chairman of NAPHDA Maj. Gen (retd) Amer Aslam Khan, Omais Khattak, SVP, IIA, Muhammad Ahmed and Mohsin Khalid former Presidents ICCI, Malik Sohail Hussain, former SVP ICCI, and others were also present at the occasion.
The delegation apprised Chairman and Deputy Chairman NAPHDA about their problems including the issue of lease renewal of industrial plots and the CDA has referred the matter to NAPHDA.
