ISLAMABAD – The resignation of Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) Chairman Dr Muhammad Riaz Shahbaz Janjua has been formally approved.
The federal Ministry of Health has issued an official notification.
According to the notification, Dr Janjua’s resignation has been accepted with effect from August 31. His membership of the IHRA Board has also ended following approval of his resignation as a board member.
The federal cabinet approved Dr Janjua’s resignation from his position as an IHRA member, resulting in the end of his tenure as chairman of the authority.
The Ministry of Health has directed Dr Janjua to immediately relinquish the chairmanship of IHRA. The approval was granted under the Islamabad Healthcare Regulation Act, 2018.
Copies of the notification have been forwarded to the Cabinet Division, IHRA Chief Executive Officer, board members and other relevant authorities.
