KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan stand at Rs488,362 per tola (24-Karat) on Tuesday with experts predicting fluctuations in today’s trading session amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
The rate for 10 grams stands at Rs418,691 as it recorded a decrease of Rs4,544 in previous session on May 11, 2026.

Gold is trading at $4,660 per ounce, showing a decrease in global prices that are expected to influence domestic rates.
22 and 21 Karat Gold Rates
Meanwhile, 22-karat gold is priced at Rs444,22 per tola, while 21-karat gold costs Rs423,938 per tola, and 18-karat gold is available at Rs366,375 per tola.
Silver Prices
Meanwhile, silver is priced at Rs8,513 per tola as it recorded no change in previous sessions.
It is recalled that gold began the year with strong gains but has dropped over 8% following the outbreak of conflict with Iran on February 28.
The decline in gold prices restarted after the Trump rejected the Iran’s response to the peace deal, dashing hopes for an end to the conflict.
Trump on Monday described the ceasefire with Iran as extremely fragile, saying it was “barely surviving” and comparing it to a patient with almost no chance of recovery.
He also dismissed Iran’s response to the US peace proposal, calling it “ridiculous” and insisting that no one would accept such terms.
Despite his criticism, Trump said his administration still believed a diplomatic breakthrough with Iran remained achievable.
Speaking to reporters, he claimed previous agreements had nearly been finalised several times before collapsing, accusing Iran’s leadership of repeatedly reversing its position and acting dishonourably.
Iran, meanwhile, has maintained that the US demands are unreasonable and defended its own reply to the US proposal as measured rather than excessive.
Trump also revealed he is weighing whether to restart “Project Freedom,” a US operation intended to help release commercial vessels stranded in the Strait of Hormuz. The mission had been halted shortly after its launch last Tuesday, and the president said no final decision had yet been taken on resuming it.
